The staff of A&E Services coordinates and manages new construction and renovation projects. Department staff normally coordinate preliminary feasibility studies and the development of space programs and budgets, and make site selection recommendations. A&E Services coordinates the process of selecting outside design consultants for large projects and directs the work of the consultants to help insure that the University design, program, budget and schedule objectives are achieved.

Staff in A&E Services serve as the University's representative and are responsible for coordinating the work of contractors with other University organizations. The office is also responsible for seeing that schedules are maintained and that contractors receive correct payments in timely fashion. Staff also maintain project financial records and keep the administration informed of project progress.

A&E Services maintains the Norman Campus Facilities Inventory to provide data on University space assignment and use. Space information is provided to academic and administrative units and employed in utilization studies and space planning efforts.
