FACULTY/STAFF FEE WAIVERull-time regular faculty and staff may enroll in courses at the University of Oklahoma
at
the rate of one-half the general fee charged to regular students and a waiver of some special fees.
Details of the fee waiver policy are outlined in the Faculty and Staff Handbooks.
In order to take advantage of the fee waiver, a Faculty/Staff Fee Waiver Application Form
(OU-1095-A) must be completed by the applicant. This form is available in quantity
from the University Storeroom. The Fee Waiver Application Forms must be approved by the head of
the employing department and presented to the Office of the Bursar at the time of fee payment.
FACULTY AND STAFF COURSE LOAD EXCEPTION
University policy limits the number of course hours in which a faculty or staff member may
enroll during regular working hours. Under certain circumstances, exceptions to the
course load limits may be necessary for the benefit of the University and the employee. The
policies governing exceptions to course enrollments are outlined in the Faculty and Staff
Handbooks.
Request for Faculty and Staff Course Load Exception Forms are available from the
Office of Human Resources (325-5599) or in quantity from the University Storeroom.
FACULTY AND STAFF CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
A broad range of programs and services at are available to faculty and staff free of charge through
the Office of Human Resources Training and Development Division. Time off during working hours may be given to
attend training and development programs. Permission to enroll in and attend these programs is
approved through regular supervisory channels. See section on seminars and certificate programs for more detailed
