John J. Chiodo is a professor in the Department of Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at the University of Oklahoma. His research interests are in the area of social studies curriculum and instruction as well as teacher preparation. He has published over one hundred and twenty articles in national and state professional journals.

Laura Bolf-Beliveau is an English Education doctoral student in the department of Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at the University of Oklahoma.  In addition to her duties as Editorial Assistant of Action in Teacher Education, she supervises the College of Education’s English/language arts student teaching interns.
