Title:      A CONGRESSIONAL RESOLUTION REGARDING THE USE OF LEARN.OU.EDU

Whereas:    Students should have the ability to monitor their progress

            in each class; and,

Whereas:    In the status quo, students are only guaranteed

            notification of their grades when they are failing; and,

Whereas:    Students are more aware of their educational status if

            they have perpetual access to a current listing of their grades;

            and,

Whereas:    Professors are required to have and give students syllabi

            at the beginning of all courses; and,

Whereas:    Sometimes students misplace or accidentally dispose of

            their copy of the class syllabus; and,

Whereas:    Many professors refuse to give out second copies of their

            class syllabus; and,

Whereas:    The class syllabus contains information so vital to the

            students' success that without it deadlines may be missed,

            and homework may be forgotten; and,

Whereas:    Learn.ou.edu is a great resource which is underused; and,

Whereas:    If current grades and syllabi (with any changes) were

            posted on learn.ou.edu, students would have a greater

            chance at success in their academic pursuits,

Let it therefore be resolved:
