Exploring Planetary Worlds


Fall 2019

Geology is offering a new upper-division natural science Gen Ed class "Exploring Planetary Worlds" this fall. It will focus on terrestrial and icy bodies in our solar system, as well as exoplanets orbiting other stars. Student teams will design a planetary science mission and choose the instruments they need to answer a compelling scientific question.

Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30am - 11:45am, Fall Semester 2019, in Sarkey's Energy Center P111. If students are interested in taking this new class, please email either Dr. Megan Elwood Madden (melwood@ou.edu) or Rebecca Fay (rfay@ou.edu) for permission to enroll. The prerequisites are 2 previous college science classes - any flavor or level is fine.
