Dear Alumni and Friends,
Leading the Alumni Association gives me the opportunity to meet fellow OU alumni and friends from throughout the nation, and the world, and to organize a wide range of opportunities to bring our alumni and friends together. Our alumni and friends are vital to the work that takes place every day to continue to make our alma mater a leader in public higher education. To serve the University and our alumni in this common mission is truly an honor and privilege.
As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I understand the special memories we all share as alumni. I have fond memories of the intriguing lectures and discussions with OU’s outstanding faculty like Dr. Ben Keppel and Dr. William Savage in the history department. I still have lasting friendships that were built through interactions in Walker Tower, my fraternity house, and campus activities like President’s Leadership Class. I will never forget experiencing great campus traditions like Sooner Scandals, Homecoming, the OU Ring Ceremony, and the energy and excitement that surrounds Commencement. As alumni of this great institution we share a history, we share stories, we share experiences, we share a common mission and that is what makes us a Sooner Family.
The OU Alumni Association is proud to serve you and help you connect with the excitement that surrounds being a Sooner. Right now, we have more than 100 OU Clubs and Societies led by great alumni volunteers. We are honored to host Reunion Program, Sightseeing Sooner trips abroad and, of course, Boomer Bash. Our plans for the future include a focus on web-based interactions, featuring a newly redesigned alumni web page, and a new emphasis on engaging our young alumni.
