OU Reunion 2009

Schedule of Events

Do as little or as much as you prefer from the list of campus tours below. A map will be provided in your welcome packet.
NOTE: Transportation by golf cart or continuous shuttle will be available from Oklahoma Memorial Union.

  • Visit the Boyd House! (The Private residence of the President and Mrs. Boren) Open at 9:30 a.m.
  • Mildred Andrews Boggess Memorial Organ Concert Concert time TBD, Catlett Music Center
  • Bizzell Memorial Library, Open at 9:30 a.m.
    The OU Libraries tour will feature a tour of the Great Reading Room of the Bizzell Memorial Library and the following collections and exhibit:
    • Bob Burke Autographs of American Leaders Exhibit, which includes a collection of letters, documents, photographs and writings signed by every president and vice president of the United States, from George Washington to George W. Bush.
    • History of Science Collections, which includes such treasures as first editions of all the works of Galileo and Darwin.
    • John and Mary Nichols Rare Books and Special Collections with collections of British and American literature dating from the 15th century to the present.
    • Harry W. Bass Business History Collection, featuring the archives of Robert Kahn, consultant to retail firms, and the J.& W. Seligman investment house.
  • Barry Switzer Center Legends Lobby
  • Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, Open at 10 a.m.
  • Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, Open at 10 a.m.

Luncheon 11:30 a.m - 3:00 p.m., National Weather Center, OU update and scholarship campaign announcement
Group picture will follow the program

Following the luncheon, Kevin Kloesel, associate dean for public service and outreach in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences at the University of Oklahoma, will give a presentation on the National Weather Center.
NOTE: Transportation from Oklahoma Memorial Union will be provided to and from the National Weather Center beginning at 11:30 a.m.



College Events 3:15 - 4:45 p.m.
Join fellow alumni in meeting with faculty and students or tour your college building on campus. NOTE: Transportation will be provided from colleges and Oklahoma Memorial Union.

During the Medallion Ceremony, graduates of 50 years or more from the University will receive a medallion. Those who have already received their medallion are encouraged to wear it.

BOOMER BASH $6.00 per person pre-registered

You are invited to attend the pre-game celebration, Boomer Bash,presented by the OU Alumni Association and President’s Associates and sponsored by Housing and Food Services and OU Physicians. Boomer Bash begins three hours prior to kick-off and is located in the Oklahoma Memorial Union, 3rd floor, Molly Shi Boren Ballroom. Registration fee includes food, beverages and live entertainment. There also will be special appearances by the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band and Pom Squad. All Boomer Bash events start three hours before kick-off and end30 minutes prior to kick-off.

OU vs. Kansas State Football Game ($79 each)
Tickets for the University of Oklahoma vs. Kansas game are available as part of the reunion registration and will not be sold separately. Football tickets are limited and available to members of the reunion classes and guests on a first-come basis. Attendees must be participating in reunion activities. Tickets will be distributed at reunion registration and cannot be mailed. Begins 3 hours prior to kick-off and starts on Boyd Street and Asp Ave
