Student Alumni Association Executive Board Enjoys Retreat!

The Student Alumni Association Executive Board enjoyed its leadership retreat. Held June 12 – 14 in Dallas, Texas, the retreat served as both a respite and planning session for the SAA board.
"The Student Alumni Association annual retreat is a time for our advisors and new board to bond, relax, and plan for the year ahead,” explained Chairman Klint Neal. Neal also noted his satisfaction with this year’s retreat, stating, “I was particularly pleased with this retreat because the organization struck a strong balance between the two areas (respite and planning).”

During the retreat, the Student Alumni Association Executive Board attended a Texas Rangers baseball game as well as visited the theme park Six Flags Over Texas. Balancing work with play, the board also outlined goals for the upcoming year and participated in team building activities. These goal-setting and team-building sessions leave Neal optimistic.
“Judging from the success of the retreat, SAA will undergo a transformative change over the coming year,” Neal opined, “setting a foundation for the future and becoming one of the most active organizations on campus. This change will allow us more opportunity to reach out and connect students with OU's Alumni.”
The Student Alumni Association is a student branch of the University of Oklahoma’s Alumni Association and was founded in 1985. The Student Alumni Association provides a connection between students and alumni, promotes awareness of the OU Alumni Association, and supports tomorrow’s alumni today.
