Alumni Resources for Current Students

Student Alumni Association

SAA

The Student Alumni Association was founded in 1985 by a group of students, joined with the OU Alumni Association. During the organization's twenty-five year history, it has undergone many changes, completed countless events, and created great traditions still practiced at the University. From its original purpose, forming a body of students interested in the good name and ambassadorship of the University, the Student Alumni Association has grown, encompassing much more with an expanded mission. Today, the organization includes the Class Gift, OU Ring, Alumni Relations, funding for student groups activities, and the Sower's Club.

SAA provides a connection between students and alumni in order to promote awareness of the OU Alumni Association, inspire future commitment, and sow a legacy.

Class Ring

The OU Ring tells a story, a story of people, place and possibility. Our ring is a symbol of the great women and men, the great people with vision and dreams, students, faculty and staff, making meaning through the investment of their lives in the next generation and all the generations that follow.

Class Gift

Each year, the graduating class presents a gift to the university that enhances the campus community and leaves a tangible marker of their time on campus.  Examples of these gifts are visible around campus, and several have served as symbols of the university such as the iconic arches at each directional entry to campus.
