The Mvskoke (Creek) curriculum has been prepared by Margaret Mauldin and Gloria McCarty.  The three semesters are designed around the Creek verb, with other grammatical features included and associated with the verb form. Students learn to read, write and speak the Mvskoke (Creek) language.

The Curriculum

Creek/Seminole I: 
Introduction to Creek language structure (orthography, sound system), verb classes (action transitive, action intransitive), verb conjugation (seven tenses in 1st,2nd & 3rd Person Singular), non-final & other verb forms, and developing simple sentences. The class also learns Creek songs and studies Creek history and culture.

Creek/Seminole II:
Verb conjugation (other verb forms - expanded), conjunctions and other components of grammar, more complex sentences, conversation and writing in Creek.

Creek III:
Translation and interpretation (English/Creek, Creek/English), extensive practice in conversation, reading and writing Creek.
