Student Achievement

As part of the OU Annual Academic Assessment and for OU RCPL accreditation, our program evaluates annually three Student Learning Outcomes.  These Student Learning Outcomes for the OU Annual Academic Assessment parallely PAB requirements in Planning Knowledge, Planning Skills, and Planning Values.

To assess these three student learning outcomes we use direct and indirect measures to assess the knowledge, skills, and values of students through:

1. Written Comprehensive Exam (direct measure)

2. Oral Defense (direct measure)

3. Learning Portfolio (direct measure)

4. Performance Evaluations (every semester; direct measure)

The culmination of the student work is the Written Exam, Oral Defense, and Learning Portfolios.

Targets for Success:

  • 80% of graduating students will achieve an 80% or better on the  Written Comprehensive Exam;
  • 100% of students graduating from RCPL program will pass the  Written Comprehensive Exam and/or complete follow-up clarification materials (essay exam for those not passing written exam) successfully (reviewed by faculty).

Fall 2017 Graduates:

  • 100% passed written exam with an 80% or better
  • 100% passed the exam outright or with additional follow-up materials

Fall 2016-Spring 2017 Graduates:

  • 100% passed written exam with an 80% or better
  • 100% passed the exam outright or with additional follow-up materials
