Subject: Two new IT-FYI storage/retrieval services

I have two new archiving services to announce to you today. They won't
reduce the number of newsletters I send you, but they will make it
possible for you to more rapidly scan and delete the email you do get
from IT-FYI, since you will now have ways of going back later to read in
full something you noticed but didn't have time to attend to at that
moment.

1. For Norman campus Exchange Mail users ONLY:

If you haven't noticed, your Inbox includes something called Public
Folders. Under Public Folders, and then All Public Folders, there is a
folder called IT-FYI Newsletters. I have created 7 subfolders there:

Assorted repostings
Campus Watch
Coalition for Networked Information
EduPage
FARNET's Washington Update
Internet2
Scout Report

It will be my practice to file the IT newsletters I get here in this
Exchange public folders area. If you are using the DCTS Exchange Mail
system as your email server, you will be able to access old issues of
these services from your Exchange Mail client (Inbox or Outlook).

2. Web page of IT-FYI postings at http://www.ou.edu/archives/it-fyi

IT-FYI now has a web-based archive as well. When I forward an email
message to the IT-FYI listserv for distribution to you, a copy of that
message also ends up here as an html (web page) file. Just point your
browser at this url to read the IT-FYI postings:
