Dear cni-announce subscribers:

The web version of the report of a conference on computing and the
humanities is now available at

The report is a summary of a March 1997 meeting, sponsored by the
Computer Science and Telecommunications Board (CSTB) of the National
Research Council in collaboration with the Coalition for Networked
Information, the National Initiative for a Networked Cultural Heritage,
and the Two Ravens Institute, exploring the complexities of
cross-disciplinary collaboration. The report concludes with a set of
suggested next steps, and CNI will be working with the other sponsors of
this conference to set an agenda that will further collaboration between
the computing and humanities communities.

The report has been published by ACLS as part of its Occasional Papers
series (No. 41).
