"WHAT CAN I TAKE OFF THE INTERNET AND USE IN MY COURSES?"

Mr. Kenneth Salomon will present a seminar, open to the public, for Oklahoma
State University Faculty and Staff in Case Study III, Student Union, at 3:00
PM, Thursday, September 23. The title of his presentation will be,
"Intellectual Property and Copyright in the Electronic Age". Ken is
considered to be one of the leading experts in the nation on this issue of
increasing importance to all of higher education.

Kenneth D. Salomon is a member Dow, Lohnes & Albertson, pllc, Washington,
D.C. and heads the firm's government relations and distance learning
practice areas. Mr. Salomon also represents colleges and universities, and
works closely with national higher education organizations, such as the
American Council on Education, the American Association of Community
Colleges, the Association of American Universities and the National
Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges, particularly on
legal, regulatory, financial and policy issues involved in
telecommunications, distance learning, copyright and computers.

Mr. Salomon is a Professorial Lecturer on International Telecommunications
at the Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies
in Washington, DC. He has authored or co-authored of numerous publications,
including the Primer on Distance Learning and Intellectual Property Issues;
Copyright Law and the Information Superhighway; published in Technology and
Higher Education (NEA Professional Library Higher Education Series (March
1997)); Copyright and the Information Superhighway: Who Will Write the
Rules of the Road, published in the January 1997 Policy Forum Issue of
USDLA's Teleconference Magazine; and Electronic Course Ownership and Use
Policies, published in Virtual University News (Vol. 1, Issue 8, 1998).
