Originally from Pennsylvania, Rich is an Archeologist III and has been with the Survey since 1978.

Research Interests

Southern Plains archaeology, paleoethnobotany, settlement/subsistence behavior, development of agriculture, selectionist models of economic specialization.

Other Facts

Rich is currently working at the fortified Wichita sites, Bryson-Paddock and Longest. He is also involved in analysis of the distribution and prehistoric cultivation of marshelder, a plant native to disturbed settings along Oklahoma streams.
