Reflections: Historic and Contemporary Works by the Martinez and Gonzales Families
October 5, 2007 – January 6, 2008
This exhibition of pottery, paintings, and works on paper traces the influence of Maria and Julian Martinez and Louis Gonzales (Wo-Peen) on their descendants. Barbara Gonzales and her son Cavan directly continue the legacy of Maria and Julian in their work. Cavan Gonzales brings together the Martinez and Gonzales families in both kinship and artistic heritage. Curated by Jane Aebersold, FJJMA Curator of Ceramics and OU School of Art Ceramics Professor.
