As part of this year’s ongoing Oklahoma centennial celebration, the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, Norman, and the Price Tower Arts Center of Bartlesville have collaborated to present Out of Oklahoma: Contemporary Artists from Ruscha to Andoe. The exhibit, comprised of over thirty-five paintings, sculptures, photographs and works on paper by artists born or trained in Oklahoma, demonstrates the influential role Oklahoma artists have played in the national art scene since 1960. Works by artists such as Ed Ruscha, Harold Stevenson, Leon Polk Smith, and Carolyn Brady will be on view at Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art starting October 5, 2007.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 7-9 pm in the Sandy Bell gallery of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.
