Nathan Barron

Nathan Barron's Bio

Nathan Barron is a political science doctoral student and graduate fellow at the Carl Albert Congressional Research and Studies Center at the University of Oklahoma. He holds an M.A. and B.S. magna cum laude in political science from the University of Southern Mississippi. 

Nathan's research agenda is focused on answering questions related to representation and legislative strategy in Congress. He is currently working on projects involving a diverse range of research designs, including survey experiments and computational methods with text-as-data. He is currently working on a project that examines domain manipulation in Congressional legislation throughout the 20th century. The findings from this project will provide unique insights into how legislative negotiation has changed and what this means for responsive institutions.

Nathan has presented his research at the American Political Science Association Annual Meeting and the Midwest Political Science Association Annual Meeting.
