Public Service Programs

Twice a year the Carl Albert Center, University of Oklahoma, publishes Extensions, a forum for discussion of the Congress. Extensions includes articles by congressional scholars, interviews with members and former members of Congress, regular reports on the Center's congressional archives, and historical commentaries based on the collections. Each issue also reports on the Center's current activities and ongoing research efforts.

Rothbaum Lecture
The Julian J. Rothbaum Distinguished Lecture is sponsored and administered by the Carl Albert Center of the University of Oklahoma. The Lecture is delivered in odd-numbered years to avoid conflict with debate surrounding the congressional elections. Each Rothbaum lecturer is invited to give a series of three related lectures during a period of one week. The lectures are free and open to the public. Traveling Exhibits
Traveling exhibits are made available to host sites at no charge, though the host is responsible for arranging and paying for shipment of the exhibit. This can be done by commercial movers, though many sites prefer the cheaper option of using their own trucks or vans and personnel. Previous hosts have included public libraries, universities, historical societies, and museums.   Read More>>
