IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The Embassy Suites is showing a rather low number of room bookings for our conference given the number of people who have pre-registered. We want to be sure there are no reservation problems and also for the conference to receive full credit for all room nights booked as this substantially lowers the cost of the meeting rooms to the Plains Conference.

If you have made reservations to stay at the Embassy Suites we are asking that you call the hotel and confirm your reservation and be sure to mention you are with the Plains Conference. The group code is PAS. This will confirm your reservation and insure that the conference gets full credit for all room nights booked by conference attendees. The hotel phone number is… 405 364-8040.

If you have not yet booked your room, be sure to use the code PAS when doing so.

Embassy Suites, the official conference hotel, has extended the special conference room rate until October 6. After that date, rooms, if available, will revert to the normal rates. Please remember, staying at the Embassy Suites entitles you to a FREE, cooked-to-order FULL Breakfast each day PLUS the daily Manager’s Reception every evening from 5:30 to 7:30 featuring FREE COCKTAILS! That’s right, FREE ALCOHOL!!!! But ONLY if you stay at the Embassy Suites. Make your reservation NOW!

STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION: All students who enter and present papers in the Student Paper Competition will have their conference registration fee waived and will receive two complimentary tickets to the Friday night banquet. Enter now!

All abstract deadlines ARE EXTENDED UNTIL SEPT. 15. THIS INCLUDES SYMPOSIA but please get symposia to us ASAP.

This extension also includes STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION ABSTRACTS. The deadline for submission of written copies of the completed paper to Laura Scheiber is still Sept. 26. See the PAS website or click on the Student Paper Competition link on this page.

ADVANCED REGISTRATION ENDS SEPT. 15. After that there is an increase in the registration fee for both regular and student registration. Register now and avoid the increase!

ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS: Please note that your online registration consists of two parts; the PayPal portion where you pay for your registration and other items , and the personal information part at the bottom of the online registration page. YOU MUST COMPLETE BOTH PARTS TO BE REGISTERED. I am still getting some registrations without the payment and others without the personal information. Complete instructions for online registration are on the online registration page. In a nutshell, choose the items you want by clicking on Add to Cart. When you have selected all the items desired, go to checkout and pay for them. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO USE PAYPAL; there is an option for going straight to credit card payment. Once you have completed the payment part, return to the online registration page, fill out the personal contact information and click “Submit”. That completes the process.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS: You must reserve your room at the Embassy Suites by Sept. 21 in order to get the conference rates. After that date, room rates revert to the normal price.

Advanced registration accepted until September 15.

Deadline for individual paper and symposia abstracts extended until September 15.
