Research in the past two decades has greatly advanced the understanding of the Senecioneae (Asteraceae). This colloquium brings together studies varying from sophisticated theoretical investigations to traditional revisions that focus on species circumscriptions. The totality of the information must be assimilated into a unified scheme to be useful to the consumers of botanical information.
