We are genetically characterizing fertility restoration in Capsicum and tagging of Rf gene using RAPD markers.The ultimate goal is to develop stable cms system for hybrid seed production of hot pepper. We are also trying to examine possibilitity of developing non-conventional hybrids in hot pepper (one inbred parent and other normal population).
