Hi, we're studying the process of of reproduction of plants in school.. here's how it works-

- There are many different ways of reproduction for plants, one way is vegetative propagation.

It's a kind of asexual reproduction because an identical plant is generated from a part of only one parent, the original plant. In vegetative propogation, new plants may be grown from a stem, a root, or a leaf of the parent plant. This process is useful in many ways. Gardeners use it to produce new plants faster than grwoing plants from seeds. They can also grow identical plants from plants that have desirable characteristics, such as resitance to disease and drought.
It occurs naturally too. For example, when a willow bends
so that it touches the ground, roots may grow into the soil from a part of a branch. The roots then send up shoots of a new identical willow tree. Other plants that reproduce by using begetative propagation include onions, artichokes, potatoes, tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, red raspberries, spicebush, and sweet pepper bush.

email me if you need any more information.

can someone e-mail me an explanation of the sexual reproduction of plants i need it a.s.a.p!

and also an explanation of asexual reproduction, i need it straight away
thanks
