Hi if you know something about how it reproduce the flower carnation??? If you know write me to my mail. Dianthus caryophyllus or Carnations are best propagated by seed. See germinate at 65-75 degrees in 2-3 weeks. They can also be propagated layers in July and by cutting taken in june of non flowering basal shoots. They are perennial everywhere except the far northern U.S. The flowers do need support to keep them from laying on the ground. Most carnation varieties are available from Park Seed Co. Hope this answers the question. Cal (ccl@ou.edu)
