The selection of comprehensive examination questions will be based on this information.

 

The Admission to Candidacy form must be on file with the College of Arts & Sciences International Relations Program and the Graduate College prior to taking the Comprehensive Examination. The Admission to Candidacy form must be typed or legibly printed and sent directly to the College of Arts & Sciences International Relations Program for evaluation. Once evaluated, it will be sent to the Graduate College for final approval.

List only the courses that will be applied toward the 32-hour degree requirements. Courses completed while in PROVISIONAL status (unless they are core courses) should not be listed on the form. Core courses taken while in PROVISIONAL status should be listed as "Prov" in the hours column. PROVISIONAL hours cannot be counted toward the degree requirements, but you may list the 1 credit hour for the CDR.
Please notify the College of Arts and Sciences International Relations Program if you have made a change in coursework after filing your candidacy form.
To assist students in filling out this form, a sample form is included as an example. Please fill out the form in black ink, listing the course abbreviation, course number, and course title. The course number for the CDR is not needed, nor is the section number for the course or the CDR. If taking a CDR with a core course, list the hours with the core hours. Please use a specific date from the table above for your exam dates. Sample Candidacy Form
  • Failure to correctly fill out the Admission to Candidacy form and meet deadlines for filing this form could delay the receipt of your comprehensive examination and could delay your graduation.
