Admission
Requirements

Admission - 3.00
or higher grade point average on the last sixty hours of letter
graded coursework from an earned baccalaureate degree; or
3.00 or higher grade point average on at least 12 letter graded
hours of graduate level coursework or 12 hours of upper-division
post-baccalaureate coursework.

Admission - 2.75-2.99
grade point average on the last sixty hours of letter graded
coursework from an earned baccalaureate degree. Once
conditionally admitted, the student must complete the first
twelve letter graded hours in the program with a grade of B
or better. No grades of I's, W's, or U's will be permitted during
the conditional admission period. The one exception to this
condition is that I's may be received in directed reading courses.

Deferred Admission- 2.50-2.74
grade point average on the last sixty hours of letter graded
coursework from an earned baccalaureate degree. The student
must complete six hours of letter graded coursework with a GPA
of at least 3.5 and these six hours will not be applied toward
a graduate degree. Students may not apply any coursework taken
prior to successful completion of the provisional hours toward
a degree at the University of Oklahoma. The student will
then be conditionally admitted and required to complete the
first twelve letter graded hours with a grade of B or better.
No grades of I's, W's, or U's will be permitted during the conditional
admission period. The one exception to this condition is that
I's may be received in directed reading courses.

Admission

Applicants with a GPA between 2.25-2.49 on the last sixty hours
from an earned baccalaureate degree or less than a 3.00 grade
point average on at least 12 hours of graduate level coursework.
The student must meet the specified criteria.
Students may not apply any coursework taken prior to successful
completion of the application process toward a degree at the
University of Oklahoma. Once
the alternative admission criteria are met, the student will
be conditionally admitted and required to complete the first
12 letter graded hours with a grade of B or better. No grades
of I's, W's, or U's will be permitted during the conditional
admission period. The one exception to this condition is that
I's may be received in directed reading courses.
