Brenda Mackey joined the English Department staff in 2015, with a background in office management and banking. She assists the Chair and Managerial Associate with Purchasing, Tenure and Promotion, Annual Faculty Evaluations, Department Events, and various other duties, including Reception.

Kayla Ciardi joined the department in 2021 after completing her MA in Modern and Contemporary Writing from the University of East Anglia in 2021. She advises majors and minors in English and Film and Media Studies, as well as minors in Editing/Publishing, of their academic progress, ensuring they complete all necessary graduation requirements. She also assists students in defining and realizing their post-graduation goals.
