Give to Environmental Studies...
There are several options available for supporting Environmental Studies students and activities:
Our goal is to enhance and support the student experience with undergraduate fellowships and conference travel. Fellowship opportunities are central to recruiting and retaining talented students, who have offers from peer institutions. Conferences offer opportunities for transformative professional development, career exploration and intellectual inquiry.
Each year between World Water Day (22 March) and Earth Day (22 April), Environmental Studies teams up with other environmentally active departments, faculty, and student clubs to celebrate Earth Month. We engage the OU and Norman community in topical environmental discussions with some of our nation's scientific, social, and political leaders, as well as highlight the many campus and city initiatives focused on environmental stewardship.
Staff and Facility Enhancement:
One of our major priorities is staffing and maintaining the Environmental Research Experiences for Students (ERES) Shared Instructional Laboratory to the highest degree. This facility, containing major advanced analytical water and microbiological analytical equipment, is at the core of OU’s academic mission, to provide students with hands-on experience with modern, state-of-the-art environmental analytical instrumentation. The ERES Shared Instructional Lab serves as a catalyst for preparing students for career success in environmental studies, as well as other related fields.
An OU Foundation account, Environmental Studies Fund, has been established to allow donors the ability to support any or all of the above programs.
