A student in the College of Arts and Sciences must be advised prior to enrollment each semester. The History Department sends out reminder emails as to the dates of the advisement and enrollment periods; but it is each student's responsibility to make an appointment with a faculty advisor and be advised before he or she can enroll online. New history majors, or those interested in becoming history majors, should contact Dr. Roberta Magnusson for information or a first advisement appointment.
The history department also has a pre-law advisor,Dr. James S.Hart, Jr.
If you are a new major, please be sure your records have been sent to the History Department before the advisement period begins.
It is also recommended that students see College of Arts and Sciences advisor Jessica Burgett for a degree check when they have reached 90 hours (or, their second-to-last semester before graduation at the latest);visit the Students page in the college for more information.
