Garold is writing a book about Customs and Practices
of Pastoral Nomadic Societies and Biblical Narratives:
a Cross Cultural Study. This study compares modern Bedouin
customs and practices with Biblical narratives. Currently
Garold is director of the Institute for Mediterranean
Archaeology, which has explorations in Orvieto, Italy
and Qiryat Beit Lehi, in Southern Israel. He is a founding
member of the OU Center for Peace Studies and has coordinated
and participated in conferences and mission for peace
in the Middle East since 1998. Garold has help edit
and collect essays for four books about the issues concerning
the Palestinian and Israeli peace process. He has developed
and organized four conferences with Biblical Archaeology
Society concerning various archaeological issues of
the ancient Mediterranean world. Garold is involved
with The Center for Strategic Dialogue and Middle Eastern
Studies at Netanya College in Netanya, Israel. Garold
teaches courses relating to the Near East, and other
Mediterranean civilizations. Mills also teaches courses
in World and Western Civilizations, Roman, Greek, Ancient
Israel and various archaeology courses. He received
his MA from OU in Near Eastern History and his PhD in
Advanced Studies in the Land of Israel Studies, Haifa
University, Israel 2008.
