Adam Eastman received his B.A. in History from Utah Valley University in 2003 and his M.A in History from Brigham Young University in 2006. His M.A. thesis focused on the political and environmental controversies surrounding the Central Utah Project, a massive federal water development in Utah. Adam has presented papers on several facets of his research at conferences, including the 2007 Western History Association conference in Oklahoma City, the 2010 AHA Conference in San Diego, and the 2010 WHA conference at Lake Tahoe. An essay based on his thesis is included as a chapter in the book Utah History in the Twentieth Century published by Utah State University Press. Other publications include a history of the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District published in 2006 and a history of the Central Utah Water Conservancy District published in 2010. Mr. Eastman is currently completing his PhD. dissertation on the impact of the environmental movement on the evolution of federal water policy during the Carter and Reagan administrations.
