Daniel Flaherty

Daniel Flaherty received his B.A. in History and International Relations from the College of William and Mary in 1999, his M.A. in United States History from American University in 2002, and is currently studying for his Ph.D. in American Indian History.  He is working with Prof. Joshua Piker on a study of the Chickasaw from the American Revolution through the nineteenth century.  This project will pay particular attention to how cultural and social change influenced political and diplomatic agendas within the nation.  He has already presented his work at the annual Phi Alpha Theta Conference, the Mid-America Conference on History, and the American Society of Ethnohistorians Annual Conference.
