| Jacob Lackner |
| Jacob Lackner received his Bachelor’s in History in 2010 from Eastern New Mexico University, and his M.A. in history from Texas Tech University in 2012, where he wrote a Master’s thesis titled “Jews through Christian Eyes: The Jewish Other in Thirteenth-Century Papal Documents, Artwork, and Sermons.” He received a Getty Library Research Grant from the Getty Research Institute and a Texas Tech Research Travel Grant to pursue this project. He is currently workin with Professor Shmuel Shepkaru and wishes to continue to examine the formation of the ideology that resulted in the construction of a more extreme Jewish Other in the thirteenth century. He has presented papers on the Medieval Jewish Other at the International Congress on Medieval Studies, the Mid-America Medieval Association, and the Texas Medieval Association. |
