Megan McGregor |
| Megan McGregor received both her B.A. and M.A. in 20th U.S. History from the University of Central Oklahoma. Her master’s thesis, entitled “Prelude to Fanaticism: Public Reactions to the Dies Committee, 1938-41,” explores the influence of the first House Committee on Un-American Activities, examining how, by 1941, the majority of Americans believed their greatest enemy was not threats from abroad, but Communism at home. While working on her M.A., she presented her research at numerous conferences, including the American Historical Association Pacific Coast Branch Annual Conference, and the annual Phi Alpha Theta Conference in 2007, at which she won first prize in the U.S. History, graduate paper division. She is now working on her PhD, and aims to expand her research to include aspects of nativism and anti-radicalism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Mrs. McGregor is currently teaching U.S. History since 1877 at the University of Central Oklahoma, and at Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City campus. |
