Bobby Griffith is a Ph.D. student whose M.A. thesis from West Virginia University explored the relationship between the civil rights movement and religious conservatives between 1960 and 1964 and how opposition to civil rights provided a gateway for religious and social conservatives into the Republican Party. His research interests include American Presbyterianism and race, Cold War Culture, late 18th century abolitionist ministers, and 20th century popular culture. He also holds an M.Div from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
