This unit focuses on the nature of psychological theories and the counseling concepts of helping and change.
Unit Learning Objectives
Upon completing the unit, students will be able to
· demonstrate the ability to think critically about theories, research findings, and counseling practices. Critical thinking skills include analysis, evaluation, synthesis, integration, and application;
· demonstrate knowledge of psychological theories of counseling practices;
· establish a coherent theoretical orientation to Human Relations based on an integration of theory and contemporary research;
