We offer a diverse array of courses, and invite undergraduate and graduate students from any discipline to join us as we explore the development of scientific ideas within their social contexts, from antiquity to the modern era.

Welcome to OU History of Science
Please join us throughout calendar year 2009 as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the Origin of Species with regular colloquia and special events devoted to elucidating the complex and fascinating history of evolution.
Events are also being held in recognition of the 400th anniversary of Galileo’s telescopic observations as part of the International Year of Astronomy.
