Teaching Assistantships

As a Graduate student in French, German and Spanish, application for a Teaching Assistantship is possible. The Department supports students earning a Masters' Degree for a total of three years. Reappointment is contingent on good standing as a graduate student and satisfactory teaching evaluations. Teaching a 5 hour course for two semesters / 9 month appointment earns a stipend of $8, 478.00 / $942 per month net. The Teaching Assistantship is contingent on the specific year's budget.

If you are not a U.S citizen, you are required to have a valid visa to work in the United States.

Graduate Teaching Assistants are required to enroll in at least six graduate level credit hours in the department. All Graduate Teaching Assistants will have six hours of resident tuition automatically waived; out-of-state residents will have non-resident tuition waived as well.
