Criteria for Departmental Scholarships
George L. and Cleo Cross Endowed Scholarships
- Full-time graduate student majoring in Plant Biology or Microbiology
- GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Paul G. Risser Scholarship
- Full-time, regularly enrolled graduate student majoring in Plant Biology or Microbiology
- Resident of the State of Oklahoma
- Preference given to applicants who attended any Kay County high school
- GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Needs supplemental financial assistance
Kenneth & Joye Harwell Endowed Scholarship
- Must be a graduate student in Plant Biology or Microbiology
- Must be in good academic standing and must demonstrate financial need
Lois Pfiester Scholarship
- Full-time, regularly enrolled graduate student working toward an advanced degree in the life sciences (preference given to students in Plant Biology and Microbiology)
- Scholarship is based on merit in both teaching and research, and will be awarded on a competitive basis
- Previous recipients are not eligible
Margaret Root McKinley Scholarship
- Full-time, regularly enrolled student majoring in Microbiology
- U.S. citizen
- GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Harrison L. Chance Scholarship
- Microbiology major; may be full-time or part-time in the upcoming fall semester
- Demonstrated high scholastic ability
- Demonstrated financial need
Adolf and Sam Frankel Endowed Scholarship
- Graduate student majoring in Microbiology or Plant Biology.
- Pursuing a master of science degree
- Demonstrated financial need
