Fall Game Day
The Native American Studies department hosted the AIMSS Fall Game Day. The AIMSS fall activity had coincided with the OU homecoming football game with Missouri on October 13, 2007. Before the game, Mark Palmer, an instructor from the department of Geology, had conducted a scavenger hunt for the AIMSS students. Students then preceded to watch the Homecoming Parade and the Homecoming game.

AIMSS Science Fair
The Native American Studies Coca-Cola Project at the University of Oklahoma sponsored the 9th Annual American Indian Math & Science Society Science Fair, on February 2008 at the OCCE Commons on the OU campus.

The Fair had allowed AIMSS students to display the results of their interests in science and mathematics. Students may enter as individual participants or as a team. Award trophies will be given for several categories giving students many opportunities to be recognized for their research. In accordance with the mission of AIMSS, students are encouraged to approach their projects from a Native American perspective.

AIMSS Summer Institute 2008

The 2008 Summer Institute is the tenth summer residential program of the project
and is an annual activity. Participants will be taught with a hands-on approach. Instructors have developed a lesson plan for their content area and integrate laboratory experience, analytical thinking and problem solving techniques into their instruction.
