POLITICAL SCIENCE MAJOR DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

The major in Political Science requires the completion of  thirty-six hours of political science, excluding P Sc 1113, American Federal Government, which is required of all students at the University and does not confer major credit. The thirty-six hours must include: 

1) Four  2000-level "gateway" courses from: 

P Sc 2103 Politics in America 
P Sc 2173 Administration in Society 
P Sc 2223 Making Public Policy 
P Sc 2503 Relations Among Nations 
P Sc 2603 Governments Around the World 
P Sc 2703 Justice, Liberty, and the Good Society

Note: The four required 2000-level courses must be completed prior to enrollment in the Senior Capstone course.

2) A Senior Capstone with a minimum "C" grade 

3) At least twelve other upper-division hours (3000-and 4000-level courses).
