Online enrollment can be accessed through the OU website at https://enroll.ou.edu/. During designated enrollment periods, the system is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to midnight and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. No Sunday hours.
Students can add/drop online anytime after their initial enrollment through the first week of classes during the semester.
You can “shop” a schedule by going to https://enroll.ou.edu/on the OU webpage. The Schedule Planner will inform you if class times conflict, if you lack a required prerequisite, if you need special permission, etc. You can save up to three tentative schedules in your shopping cart. You can print off the schedule(s) and bring them with you when you come for your advising appointment. When your “window of enrollment eligibility” comes around, you can choose the one that works and push the Finalize Enrollment button. Be sure to print out your class schedule as a confirmation of enrollment.
Advising is required for Arts and Sciences students!
NOTE: FRESHMAN WILL LESS THAN 24 COMPLETED HOURS MUST BE ADVISED IN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE.
There are a number of resources you should avail yourself of when you plan your major program and select your courses for each semester:
Track your progress toward graduation with Degree Navigator, which employs both textual and visual modes to display remaining degree requirements.
Consult the University of Oklahoma General Catalog, which includes a general description of all courses offered by the department.
Look at the Class Schedule Bulletin, which includes a list and schedule of the courses offered each semester.
Read over the Political Science Course Descriptions, which is the list of course descriptions for the department's courses listed in the university's General Catalog.
