Cortez A.M. Ewing

Professor Cortez A.M. Ewing

Cortez Ewing taught in the Department of Political Science for 34 years, from 1928 to 1962. He was a scholar who enjoyed a national reputation. His work ranged from "party politics and elections to public policy, from Southern politics to higher education, from the politics of impeachment to the promise of the United Nations." He was a dedicated teacher, opening his home to undergraduate students, even securing scholarships for them without their knowledge or getting them accepted at prestitious graduate programs."
