Diana Hartley began her career as a newspaper photographer and reporter in a small town in western Oklahoma. It was this position that laid the foundation for a focused career in communications, leadership and strategic thinking. Her work and volunteer experience includes media, government, education, business and nonprofits. Earning her public relations bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma, she is now a sought-after speaker, trainer, and consultant with national accreditation.

Diana is a proven leader and actively seeks out meaningful opportunities to help people discover their strengths and talents. An owner of her own consulting business, she works with nonprofits and associations across the region and brings her real-world experiences to her students in the classroom. Previously an OU adjunct (3 years), Diana now teaches as a Professor of Practice in the Nonprofit Organizational Studies program. Students interested in a minor or pursuing a planned degree can take her classes in nonprofit management, leadership, marketing and fundraising. Diana also works closely with students and nonprofits to create effective internship opportunities.

She is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma, Leadership Norman, and serves on the board of the Norman Public School Foundation.
