The weekly news magazine NEWSWEEK has a paid, 13-week summer internship program designed for college students entering their senior year, graduating seniors, graduate students and professionals with a few years of experience in journalism. Interns work at the headquarters in New York, where they do reporting and research and help with the weekly close of the magazine. Applicants should have experience reporting and writing for their college newspapers, in previous internships or at other publications. Please note that application material for the summer internship is due in December of the preceding year. Check the website for specific deadline.

Project Vote Smart offers THE PVS NATIONAL INTERNSHIP. "Students...come to [the Great Divide Ranch in] Philipsburg, Montana to help American citizens educate themselves about elected officials and candidates. By providing this information in an easy, accessible manner, Project Vote Smart believes that citizens can better defend themselves from the political hype and misrepresentation characteristic of present day political campaigns.
