I have had long-standing interests in experimental and clinical hypnosis, particularly involving the impact of hypnosis on memory and the use of hypnosis to treat psychosomatic problems. My current research focuses on various aspects of eating disorders. I am most interested in how personality factors and Mood Disorders impact the development and course of eating disorders. In addition, I have interests in the area of Child Abuse and Neglect. My main role in the department is teaching undergraduate courses.
