My primary research interests include Occupational Health Psychology (OHP), feedback in the workplace, and workplace discrimination. Within the realm of OHP my research has examined factors affecting the occurrence of workplace aggression and safety-related outcomes, such as accidents and injuries. Recently my research has also focused on the role of social influence in health outcomes at work. My interests related to reception of feedback include multisource performance appraisal, developmental assessment centers, and the experience of errors in performance. I am particularly interested in topics that integrate both OHP and feedback, such as interventions to reduce safety-related errors and responses to negative feedback that may involve aggression or stress. I also have conducted research on the topics of workplace diversity and discrimination, primarily focusing on organizational diversity climates, attitudes toward affirmative action, and the experience of subtle discrimination.
