RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in psychosocial adjustment in the transition from High School to College and how it relates to risk-taking behaviors (drug/alcohol use & sexual behavior), past and present peer status (popularity), need for status, social forms of aggression, and affiliation with certain groups (examples cheerleading/football in High School and Greek system/ResLife in college).
BIO
Most of my life I grew up in Rochester, New York and then attended SUNY Oswego for one year only to finally graduate from the University at Albany with a Bachelors degree in psychology and political theory. Currently I am working on my PhD in psychology with a specialization in development and hope to work in academia. During high school and college I rowed in crew clubs, was a slave of American Eagle, and my senior year of college became a Resident Assistant. I am obsessed with music and have been playing guitar since I was a 13. Most of my time is spent watching too much TV and trying to be as cool as Matt Schuelke.
