Undergraduate Education:
B.A. Psychology, 2010 - Linfield College
Bio
After graduating high school in Portland, Oregon I enrolled at Linfield College to play football for the team that holds the longest streak of winning seasons in all levels of the NCAA. There I discovered my dispassion for exercise science and thus promptly changed my major to psychology, so others would think I was psychoanalyzing them, and minor to mathematics, so that I could benefit from the "nerd" stereotype (seriously!). Upon receiving my doctorate, I plan on calling up Paul Allen to get a consulting gig for the Portland Trail Blazers as they could use some draft help after passing up on Michael Jordan, Chris Paul, and Kevin Durant.

After graduating, I came to study at Oklahoma where research and graduate work pretty well consume my life. When I'm not working, I love playing sports, watching college football, and being outdoors. I have a black pug who is very demanding and barks at me for ignoring her when I work from home. I never try to work from home any more.

I'm passionate about research concerning freshman student retention. I'm currently involved in a project using factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and logistic regression to determine how certain latent variables, such as financial concerns and goal commitment, can be used to predict a given student's probability of second-year retention in higher education.
