Irma Tomberlin Scholarship Award
The award is sponsored by

- The SLIS Alumni Association
- University of Oklahoma School of Library and Information Studies
This scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $400. Students are nominated by faculty for this award and must also complete an essay. Based on nominations and the quality of the submitted essays, more than one award can be presented in any given year.
Scholarship winners names are place on a memorial plaque in the School of Library and Information Studies offices and the winner is announced at the annual Beta Phi Mu banquet.

Eligibility:
- Students currently enrolled & attending SLIS classes on either the
Norman or Tulsa Campuses.
Nomination:
- Students are nominated by SLIS faculty for this scholarship.
Essay Format:
- Students nominated by faculty for this award must complete an essay which are judged by faculty to choose the scholarship winner.
